“Honest and authentic are not typically words used to describe attorneys. I learned that quickly when I began my legal career. For most law firms, the focus tends to be on how much revenue clients can generate rather than ensuring they obtain the justice they deserve. I knew instantly my personal values and integrity did not align with these principles. I knew my clients deserved better.

Experience & Practice Areas

Before opening my own firm, I served as a Senior Associate Attorney for a prestigious personal injury law firm in Charlotte, NC. This allowed me to gain extensive experience in workers’ compensation, personal injury, civil litigation and general negligence issues, including tort claims, in both state and federal court. As the principal attorney for the firm, I continue to concentrate on these areas.

In addition to being a member of the North Carolina and Mecklenburg County Bar Associations, I am currently licensed and admitted to practice before all North Carolina state courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of North Carolina.

Outside The Courtroom

My priorities outside the courtroom are faith, family and service (with football a close fourth to be honest). Time spent with family is precious and is another reason I started my own firm – to have a better work-life-faith balance. Causes that are important to my wife, Jen, and I are where we give our talents, treasure, and time, and include the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, Lake Forest Church, The Salvation Army, The Humane Society of Charlotte and mission work in the Dominican Republic.

In roles with the Mecklenburg County Bar Legal Assistance Committee and as Chair of the Membership Committee for the Young Lawyer’s Division, I organize and recruit volunteers for an array of pro bono activities throughout the year.

Outside of the office, you can find Jen and I spending time with our triplets, Emerson, Nolan, and Miles, born in December 2017, our dog Kinnick and cheering on the Carolina Panthers, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Virginia Tech Hokies.
